Incidence of Revision after Primary Implantation of the Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement System: a Systematic Review

A search of five electronic databases identified 102 studies that reported results for patients who had been treated with the uncemented STAR system from January 1990 to present and were followed for at least 12 months. Eighty-two studies were eliminated because the patient population was redundant with the patient population described in a more recent study, because the study was limited to failed revisions, or because the study involved fewer than 10 patients.
