Validity and reliability of a visual scoring method for masticatory ability using test gummy jelly: Response to the letter by Sabour & Dastjerdi

We are honoured to learn of Siamak Sabour's and Elahe Dastjerdi's interest in our group's study on methods for assessing masticatory ability. In their letter to the editor1, the authors pointed out that our technique was not appropriate for confirming the validity of a test method. They explained the definition of 'validity' _ as a specialist term from the perspective of clinical epidemiology. We are also well aware of this definition.
