摘要

People can eat virtually anything in the wild if it is for their own consumption. However, once you offer food for sale then that triggers full compliance with the Northern Territory Food Act and the Meat Industries Act. People who sell food enter into a contract and therefore they have a legal obligation to ensure that the food sold is safe. Wild animals, like feral cats, are normally not subject to ante, nor post mortem examination and they can contain a whole range of diseases, caused by multiplestrains of bacteria, viruses, worms and other parasites. They are generally not considered safe for human consumption.
