Sinoatrial block induced by timolol eyedrops.

We wish to report the case of a 63-year-old woman, weighing 51 kg, who experienced sinoatrial block diagnosed in anaesthesia consultation before ophthalmic surgery. Her past medical history included type 1 diabetes for 54 years (treated with insulin pump for 1 year), arteritis, hypertension treated with diltiazem for many years, and chronic renal dysfunction (creatininemia 176 mmol/L). She presented with severe coronary disease with occlusion of origin of the left circumflex coronary artery, an interventricular coronary artery significantly stenosed, and a severe lesion of the posterior interventricular artery. She had been treated for glaucoma with timolol eyedrops for a long time.
