Status of each bill is current as of press time.Massachusetts Nutrition UPDATED HB 4459/HB 4438/HB 4441:Would relate to school nutrition; would limit all competitive foods or beverages sold or provided in public schools, with exceptions; would effectuate the purchasing preference for those products of agriculture grown or produced using locally-grown products; and would promulgate regulations requiring local health officials to conduct food safety inspections at public schools, as required by state and federal law, or as a result of public complaint or food recall.
