Firm alleges FDA made false ephedra statements

The Utah dietary supplements company that is continuing legal challenges to FDA's 2004 ephedra ban alleges that the agency made "false" statements in its most recent federal court motion. Court in Salt Lake City that FDA's statement of "undisputed" facts in its Dec. 20 motion, asking that the case be dismissed, includes two "demonstrably false representations" - one about ephedra's history as a food, the other about the agency's authority to regulate the herbal stimulant.
