EU Green lawmakers seek to retain co-decision for additives

Green men1bers of the European Parlimnent and the Swedish Socialist rapporteur Asa Westlund want co?decision retained for authorization of new additives, enzymes and flavorings when the issue comes up for discussion next month. The proposal for a common authorization procedure is expected to be debated by Parliament's Environn1ent, Public Health and Food Safety Committee at its April 10-11 meeting.
