Thai papaya growers rally to end ban on GM field trials

Thai papaya growers are lobbying the government for an end to its ban on field trials of genetically modified crops. The growers, whose fruit is being ravaged by disease, believe the only way to save their industry is for scientists to create a disease resistant GM version of papaya.
