Grain procurement. Building a bridge between purchasing and product quality.

Procurement of grain and soybeans by food producers in the US is discussed. Aspects considered include: methods used by food companies to obtain information on grain quality; testing carried out by millers of corn grains; selection of raw materials by soybean processors; and analytical techniques used to detect the presence of GM grains.
