Taylor: FDA should audit seafood HACCP program

Mike Taylor, research professor for health policy, George Washington University, said the problem is with the food safety system itself, not with how FDA operated during the Salmonella outbreak. As for resources, he urged Congress to study the best way to create a predictable funding base for FDA's food safety programs, either through appropriations, industry fees or other methods.
