Poland risks EU wrath with biotech ban

Poland has signed into law a total ban on sales and cultvivation of bioengineered crops despite warnings from the European Commission that the legislation would violate the EU's rules on free movement of goods as well the bloc's biotech regulations(see FCN May 1,Page21).
