EFSA to issue first risk assessment of nanotech application

The European Food Safety Authority is expected to issue soon its first risk assessment of a nanotechnology application - titanium nitride for use as an additive in bottles made with polyethylene trephthalate (PET). Recyclable PET bottles are commonly used for bottled water, soft drinks and other food uses.
