Analysis shows bottled water contains industrial chemicals

Several popular brands of bottled water are contaminated with a mixture of 38 pollutants at levels no better than what's found in tap water, according to a new report from the Environmental Working Group. "The bottled water industry promotes its products as pure and healthy, but our tests show that pollutants in some popular brands match the levels found in some of the nation's most polluted big city tap water systems," EWG Vice President for Research Jane Houlihan says. "Consumers can't trust that what's in the bottle is anything more than processed, pricey tap water."
