Performance standards, egg safety, school nutrition top USDA's agenda

USDA has a busy food safety and nutrition agenda ahead, setting an ETA of September 2006 to complete much of it .In the Federal Register on April 24, there are a number of performance standard proposals and efforts to improve and update the school lunch program. FSIS appears to want to tackle egg safety in 2006 as well.
