As part of its comprehensive coverage of the steel market Metal Bulletin Research offers a regular service covering production costs for iron and steel. This is complemented by this report on production costs for iron ore. The purpose of this service is to present up-to-date information on production costs for iron ore products from all major mines and producing areas. The report also provides additional information on developments in iron ore supply and costs which clarify the strategic meaning of the cost information. A description of the method of cost estimation used in this report is in Appendix A.
