Deraiophorus Canestrini, 1897 species (Acari: Uropodina) from Borneo

Three Deraiophorus species were studied from Borneo, Two of the them are new to science (Deraiophorus pseudomagnus, D belabanellaensis), the other one was already known from Borneo (Deraiophorus haradai Hiramatsu, 1982) With 11 figures. Five young researchers (L Danyi, B Kancsal, I. Nemeth, K. Scholl & G. Szovenyi) from the Department of Systematic Zoology and Ecology of Eotvos Lorand University traveled to Borneo between December 2002 and January 2003. Five soil samples were collected, but only three uropodid mite species were found in the material. The species belong to the genus Deraiophorus. One of them is a known species (Deraiophorus haradai Hiramatsu, 1982), but the other two species are new to science.
