Nampak Cartons' Leeds,England plant has received an ECMA/Pro-Carton award for its new design Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky carton,manufactured for Diageo,owners of the Johnnie Walker brand.The pack won the award for Best Beverage Carton 2008.The award Judges said that the outstanding print quality of the carton stood out for them and that the various finishes used gave it a special feel which they felt added another dimension to its appeal to consumers.The new design of fitment in the carton held the bottle well and made filling simpler and more efficient for the customer.
