TO maximize the Utility of diagnostic equipment for chemical processing, technicians must learn to stretch their knowledge and understanding of the diagnostic equipment they use in order to keep tabs on the health and safety of their valves. Too often, data isn't used as effectively as it could be, and institutionalized half-measures result in lost money, time, safety, and efficiency. In order to make the most of valve diagnostic data, technicians must understand the limits of their equipment and understand the ways in which data is lost, ignored, or misused.
