The UK-based Institute of Packaging has confirmed the appointment of Lynda Purser as Chief Executive,effective from this month in preparation for the retirement of Mr John Webb-Jenkins in May 2004.Making the announcement,Mr John Bence,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute said:"This move heralds the beginning of a new era in the role of the Institute as it becomes a global force for packaging education and training.On behalf of the Trustees and all Members of the Institute,I welcome Lynda and look forward to helping her build on the significant strategic changes made under the dynamic leadership of her predecessor John Webb-Jenkins."
