KBR Wins License, Engineering Contract For Planned Indiana Fertilizer Complex

Houston-KBR has been awarded a license and engineering contract by Ohio Valley Resources LLC for a fertilizer complex proposed for Spencer County, Indiana. Noting that other sites are also being considered for the project, KBR said it will execute a front-end engineering design (FEED) package to develop an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) proposal for the complex. KBR will design the main process units, which will feature its Purifier ammonia process technology. This technology "has demonstrated higher reliability than conventional designs and offers the lowest proven energy consumption in the industry." KBR will also design the plant utilities and other supporting units.
