Season's intros sport contemporary, art deco and ultra modern flair

[ATLANTA] While buyers were out in full force at this year's winter rug market, what they were actually purchasing ran the gamut from one-of-a-kind designs to ultra-contemporary fashions. And in terms of what suppliers were showing, contemporary looks were definitely the highlight of the show. Less was more at this year's event. Instead of wild, crazy colorways, t many exhibitors focused on understatements. Taking center stage in t terms of color were muted, toned down looks with the brown and blue combination making its way into a r variety of designs. While pinks, purples and greens were still readily evident, the new look in rug design was a more reflective interpretation of today's fashion trends. Alternative shapes were also a hot-ticket item at this year's show, feeding consumers' demand to be different.
