Once consumers choose what type of wood flooring they'd like to purchase, the next consideration is installation - glue down, nail down or floating. However, more often them not, many consumers are uninformed about various methods of installation. What follows are the top 10 installation questions with regard to wood flooring, according to manufacturers and experts. According to Anita Howard, communications director for the National Wood Flooring Association, if the subfloor is a concrete slab, only glue down or floating can be considered. However, if the subfloor is wood, all three methods will work. "All installation methods are equally as good," she said. "It is a matter of preference."
