CRI's Seal of Approval program extends reach

[DALTON] The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) has expanded its Seal of Approval testing program to include carpet-cleaning products. It also announced the first offerings to earn the right to carry the seal. The new program is designed to recognize carpet-cleaning products that pass stringent tests, according to CRI. "The CRI Seal of Approval signifies to customers they can trust - when used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions - the product will do an effective job of removing certain stains or soil from carpet or rugs without any damage to their appearance or performance," Werner Braun, CRI president, explained. "It sets a high bar for carpet cleaners." Testing for the program is administered by Professional Testing Laboratory, a Dalton-based lab. Spot removers as well as pre-spray/in-tank solutions are being analyzed. Products may be used in residential or commercial settings.
