Evry—Global Bioenergies has signed a contribution agreement with shareholders of Syngip, a 3rd generation industrial' biotech start-up in the Netherlands, under which all Syngip shares will be transferred to Global Bioenergies. Created in 2014, Syngip has developed a process to convert gaseous carbon sources and industrial emissions into various chemical compounds. It has identified a specific micro-organism capable of growing using these gaseous carbon sources as its only feedstock, and has developed genetic tools to allow the implementation of artificial metabolic pathways into it, explained Global Bioenergies.
