Sasol to commence work on ethane cracker complex in USA

South Africa-based chemical company Sasol will invest $8.1 bn for the construction of an ethane cracker and derivatives complex in Lake Charles, LA, USA. The complex will include a 1.5 M tonnes/y ethane-to-ethylene cracker and six production units for downstream derivatives, which will consume about 90% of the output.
