Bubbles, baths & showers: examination of surfactants, their effects on the skin and how they can be used to create superior bathroom products

Different types of surfactants for use in bath and shower products are discussed. More than 60 shower gels were selected for examination based on their significant sales in China, Australia, North America and Europe. Of these, 52 contained sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) while 55 contained cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB). Gilsoft Cocoa (INCI: cocoa glucoside) and Gilsoft Olea (INCI: olive oil glucoside) are being supplied by Gilas.
