Plastics in North Africa

In the plastics sector in Morocco, there are 320 companies and a work force of 11,400 with turnover in 2000 of euro420 M. Total consumption of polymers is 250,000 tonnes of whih 18% is recycled. The principal markets are packaging (44.3%), shoes and accessories (26.3%), film for agriculture (12%), tubes and containers (10%), household (7%).
