The great white way:chemical players dedicating considerable resources to white biotechnology

Germany's biggest chemical producers are committing significant resources to advancing white biotechnology.Several chemical firms are also teaming up with small companies and think tanks such as BRAIN.In late 2006,BRAIN,together with BASF,Bayer CropScience,Degussa,Henkel and Schering,formed the association Industrieverbund Mikrobielle Genomforschung to focus on microbial genome research[Focus onSurfactants,Apr 2007].
