Dalian PVC moves forward

Engineering work has already begun at Dalian Shide's vinyl chloride monomer/PVC complex in Dalian, China and construction work may commence in 2Q 2002. The comple (in which Sabic has a minority stake) is scheduled to open in 2005 with capacitie of 490,000 tonnes/y vinyl chloride monomer and 500,000 tonnes/y PVC.
