Natural Fiber and Wood Foam Composites - 2005

摘要

The foaming of thermoplastic wood composites is discussed with reference to the problems involved.It is shown that most of the additives used to compatibilise or wet wood into polymer structures are very good wetting agents but they are very poor at supporting cellular structures.The important factors of melt strength and chain entanglements are also considered.The polymer structures,the manufacturing process,the chemistry of the foaming agent,and die configuration and extrusion are described.18 refs.
