Huntsman buys Rockwood's pigment assets

As foreshadowed in our editorial in 'Focus on Pigments', Sep 2014, 1-2, Huntsman Corp (headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT) was granted conditional approval by the European Commission (the EU anti-trust authority) for its proposed acquisition of the Performance Additives, white and coloured pigment businesses of the Rockwood group (headquartered at Princeton, NJ). The approval was granted on 10 September 2014.
