Combined Fire Retardant Action of Phosphonated Structures and Clays Dispersion in Epoxy Resin

摘要

Epoxy-organically modified montmorillonite nanocomposites,containing 10 wt% of the organoclay,were prepared by in-situ polymerisation of bisphenol A diglycidyl ether crosslinked with methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride.The flame retardant additive used was 2,2-bis(3-diethyloxyphosphonyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propane (5 wt%).
