Spectra Colorants acquires Synalloy's organic pigment dispersions business

Effective 6 March, Synalloy Corp declared that it had agreed to sell its pigments dispersion business -Organic Pigments LLC (based at Spartanburg, NC) - to Spectra Colorants (of Union, SC). The value of the transaction was not disclosed, but Synalloy states that the Organic Pigments assets were sold "at a price approximately equal to their net book value as of the date of sale."
