Evonik is to build a sodium methoxide plant at Puerto General San Martin, Argentina. Construction work will begin in Jul 2011 with the 60,000 tonne/y unit scheduled to enter service at the end of 2012. Evonik aims to supply catalysts for the S American biodiesel market, mainly Brazil and Argentina.
