摘要

The average consumption of plant nutrients (N,P_2O_5,K_2O) during (1990-91 to 1994-95) was almost double ijn rice-wheat cropping belt comprising north-eastern region of the state. In south-western region of the state where bajra-wheat,bajra-rapeseed, bajra-gram and cotton-wheat are the coommon cropping systems, the gap between consumption and requirement of nitrogen is higher and needs to be bridged to realise the full agricultural potential for attaining food sustainablility.An attempt has been made to giva a detailed demand of nutrients as per the cropping system in different districts of Hayana. The nutrients used in different crops in all the districts of Haryana has also been presented along with the gap to be filled to achieve the self sufficiency in foodgrains and other crops.
