Maintenance Problems and the Remedial Actions Taken in Ammonia Plant at IFFCO-Kalol

IFFCO-Kalol's Ammonia plant was commissioned in 1974.The plant faced many maintenance problems during its operation and corrective actions were taken to avoid shutdown of the plant.This paper describes five selective case studies related to BFW turbine,aMDEA pump drive turbine,Naphtha feed pump,Combustion air blower and Process air compressor and rectification measures undertaken to solve the problem.
