In the most explosive year ever witnessed in the international sulphur industry, buyers nervous of impending shortages continue to compete spot prices higher, with strong demand continuing to outpace weak supply. After IPCC made a private sale this week to a trader at 354 pt fob BIK, leading UAE supplier Adnoc announced an increase of 120 pt fob on its December lifting price to 360 pt fob kuwais. Finally at press-time it was revealed that a new sales tender held by KHPC in Iran resulted in heavy bidding with a final sale made at a record 410 pt fob Kharg Island.
