The steady progress of assisted reproduction technologies (ART) realized significant improvements that increase the chance of delivering healthy offspring to parents suffering with infertility. Developments in ART laboratories, such as the introduction of new devices, instruments, and the evolution of culture media formulations, were crucial to this success. At present, laboratories and ART-related technology are light years from those that existed when the first test-tube babies were born.
