Mathematical Model for the Cutting Process of a Selective-cut Machine With Longitudinal Cutting Head

From the physical point of view there are great differences between the cutting process of a selective-cut machine with longitudinal cutting head and one with transverse cutting heads. For this reason the results of a mathematical model for calculation of the cutting process of a selective-cut machine with longitudinal cutting head are described in this contribution. Inter alia the dynamic loads of the extraction system of a roadheading machine during the cutting were determined for this purpose.
