Control and Monitoring of Coal Haulage With Profibus and PRA_matic Process Control System

摘要

Automation means increasing use of actuators/sensors instead of operating personnel at the face with simultaneous intensification of communication technology, which permits satisfactory monitoring of coal haulage from the surface. The special ambient and operating conditions underground must also be taken into account in all automation measures. The DSK has taken a further step towards automation by introduction of the intrinsically safe Profibus as standard communication system in the German collieries.
