FSU optimism supported by traders seeking India freight

Traders are actively seeking freight cover from FSU ports, with Helm soliciting offers for one panamax cargo from Yuzhnyy to Mundra, and a supramax cargo for Kandla, also from Yuzhnyy. Ameropa is checking freights for supramax cargoes from Yuzhnyy and from Riga. The traders are dependant on reasonable freight cover if further sales are to be considered in the $690s/tonne cfr, as Yuzhnyy product will be hard to source below $610/t fob, at least for the time being. Accelerated purchasing by IPL will likely push Yuzhnyy values higher, with limited likelihood of repeat business unless IPL concedes to higher cfr numbers.
