Chinese DAP export tax to dampen rising AG prices

Arab Gulf suppliers will be closely monitoring the impact on sulphur prices following the announcement of a revised 135% export tax for DAP today, 17 April, by the Chinese government. The news of the dramatic increase in the tax from 20 April until 30 September was received with mixed sentiments by sulphur importers in India and China, and by AG suppliers (see China).
