RUSSIA'S SUBSOIL resources management agency has announced that Kama Oil - a joint venture company set up by oil group LUKoil and Uralkali - yesterday won all six licences to extract oil at the Verkhnekamskoye deposit. The victory puts Uralkali in frontrunner-position to win at next month's auction for three major potash sectors of the same deposit, say industry observers.
