AMID GROWING concern about the impact of biofuels on the environment, the European Union this week unveiled a draft law that would propose a ban on the imports of biofuels derived from crops grown on certain types of land, including forests, wetlands, and grasslands. It would also require the imported product to deliver a "minimum level of greenhouse gas savings".
