SAUDI BASIC Industries Corporation (Sabic) announced on September 20 it has opened a new office in Cape Town. According to Prince Saudi bin Abdullah bin Thunayan al- Saud, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and chairman of Sabic, the move is designed to strengthen its presence in South Africa and neighbouring markets. ‘The opening of our new office in Cape Town is a clear reflection of the national, regional, and global market's growing importance as consumers of chemicals, polymers and fertilisers. This new facility will not only strengthen Sabic's existing business relationships in South Africa, but will also improve the company's sales performance in neighbouring countries,' he said.
