INDIA: Very little business has been carried out this week, as few buyers are entering the market so close to the Christmas break. There are offers ranging from $175- 190/mt CFR for crushed lump to granular sulphur. Havi is offering an Iranian cargo at $175/mt CFR. It is understood IGCC awarded 25,000 mt at $166/mt FOB to Havi for 1H December loading from Assaluyeh. There are rumours in the market that Swiss Singapore has sold 15-20,000 mt at $187/mt CFR ex-Middle East for mid-December shipment to Vizag on the east coast, however the trader has denied such a deal has been concluded. If confirmed, it is in line with the most recently reported trade, which was PPL's award of 30-35,000 mt ex-Saudi Arabia to ICEC at $186.50/mt CFR under its November 22 tender for 35,000 mt for December 15-18 delivery. Last week, Swiss Singapore and ETA were offering cargoes at $195/mt CFR at Kandla, which was rejected by buyers.
