EGYPT: Surging barge-prices in the US aided Egyptian producers yet again this week. Transammonia took the lead, and booked 25,000 mt MOPCO material at $410/mt FOB, likely planning a further shipment for the US. The $410/mt FOB number is indicative of a $400/st FOB barge break-even in the US, a price yet to be accomplished in physical trades. The MOPCO sale followed Alexfert conclusions of 6-10,000 mt each to Transammonia and Agrium Europe at $396-397/mt FOB.
