Phosphates : Soaring DAP prices in China raise concern

Solid phosphate prices are firming further on news of significantly higher prices paid by Chinese farmers to the domestic industry. Cargoes still available for October export are attracting firm buying interest from traders and end-users. Recent Indian requests for DAP such as the August 13 NFL tender for 100,000 mt and the Deepak requirement for 25- 30,000 mt failed to attract firm offers, further illustrating the tight supply position.
