Indian government fixes NBS price at $370/mt CFR

The Indian government today announced its "import parity prices? for the purpose of calculating payments in its new nutrient-based fertilizer subsidy (NBS) system. In the case of MOP, this is set at $370/mt CFR with 180 days credit, which is the price level previously agreed between Canpotex and its customers Coromandel and Tata Chemicals for 600,000 mt of MOP, to be delivered through June 2010.
