STC had issued awards for a total of 470,000 mt to traders under the July 13 tender at press time. The awards are all based on the low Dreymoor offer at $283.92/mt CFR Mundra. Premiums for Indian other ports are established by STC as tabulated in the Indian Subcontinent section of this report. The tender that attracted offers for 1.4 million mt was initially expected to signal a slight downturn in regional prices on the volume offered. Middle East producers nevertheless secured gains in FOB values this week as evidenced via the Fertil sale to Helm at a reported $275/mt FOB to cover the trader's July sale to TCP in Pakistan.
